How a show comes together

Engineered weeks before it is beautiful

  1. 01

    We discover the sky together

Long before show night, we get to know your venue, your audience and your vision. We visit the site, understand the environment and map the airspace, working with you to uncover what is possible.

  2. 02

You become part of the creative process

Every show is created from scratch in our own software. We bring the ideas to life, share simulations with you and work together to refine the moments that will create the biggest impact.

  3. 03

We bring it to life, together

Once the show is taking shape, we rehearse on site over multiple days. You get to see the choreography evolve from an idea on screen into a live experience, with our team refining every detail along the way.

  4. 04

Your show, backed by our team

On show night, you have an experienced team behind you. With a pilot in command and a dedicated safety pilot on every flight, we manage the operation from launch to landing, so you can focus on experiencing the moment with your audience.

Community Sky Art · Feilding · July 2026

A child's drawing, flown at full scale

We closed a town's winter festival with its first ever drone light show, flying artwork designed by local school children.

A colouring sheet from the Sky Art competition, a grid of small circles with about fifty filled in blue to draw two mountains. The same mountains flown at night by fifty drones over Manfeild, each drone a point of light.

Feilding in Lights, July 2026

The whole townlooked up.

For Feilding's first ever drone light show, we wanted the sky to belong to the community. We invited local school children to create their own Sky Art on a grid of dots, each dot one of the drones in our fleet, and flew the most imaginative above the crowd.

One town. Thousands of people. Fifty drones. And a sky full of local imagination.

How we got here

From a crazy idea to a new way to light the sky

2021The idea

What if the sky became the screen?

Research, and finding the right engineers

We saw the opportunity to create spectacular large scale experiences without fireworks, cranes or permanent infrastructure. So we started with a simple idea: build a better way to put stories in the sky.

2022We started building

Aircraft. Software. Systems.

Designed, built and tested in New Zealand

We stopped looking at drone shows as a collection of drones and started building the technology behind the experience. Our own aircraft. Our own software. Our own flight systems. The foundations of the platform were taking shape.

2023First flights

From the lab to the sky

~30 shows
Christchurch Innovation Expo

Our first major public flights took place at the Christchurch Innovation Expo. The prototype became a working system. Every flight taught us something new. Every show made the system better.

2024The system comes together

One system. End to end.

Aircraft, software, choreography, operations, safety

We brought the entire operation together into one integrated system designed to take an idea from concept to sky. Not just a drone show. A complete operating system for the sky.

2025We went all in

The raise

20,000+ engineering hours
Investment to accelerate the platform

Investment gave us the ability to accelerate what we had been building and turn years of development into a serious commercial platform. Aircraft refined. Software accelerated. Flight systems hardened. Safety systems strengthened. The ambition got bigger.

2026We launched

The sky became our stage

3 shows · 50 drones
Feilding in Lights Grand Finale · Manfeild

We launched publicly with the Feilding in Lights Grand Finale. Three shows. 50 drones. One very clear message: this is only the beginning. We had moved from prototype to production, from flying ideas to delivering experiences at scale.

2027Droneshows Systems

The system, in other operators' hands

Not a show for sale — the kit that flies it

The aircraft. The flight software. The choreography tools. Everything we fly, built in New Zealand and opened up to operators anywhere. We keep flying our own.
